My students need Pinnies. It is difficult to identify teammates without them. Students are always asking; Who is on first? Who do I throw to? Who is on my side?
"Who's on first, What's on second, I Don't Know is on third." Abbott & Costello summed it up for our PE class. Our pinnies are beyond repair and we often sound like this old comedy skit trying to decide where the ball should be thrown.
Our school was founded in 1903.
It has charm and character and history. It is filled with bright wonderful children who are eager to participate in everything. Because of the age of the school there have been additions and improvements to accommodate growth. More teachers have been hired and computers have been updated. Playgrounds have been added. Many wonderful things! But as you can imagine, PE equipment is way down the list of priorities. As we strive to teach our students to "Eat Healthy, Play Healthy and Live Healthy" we need the proper tools to do so.
My Project
Colors; they make everything better. Especially when you are trying to decide who is on your team. The gift of pinnies to our school will make teaching PE and participating in PE a much better experience. It will allow the students to play the game as intended without hesitation. To improve reflexes and accuracy.
An entire rainbow of colors is beautiful.
Just not in a PE class. Once we divide into squads/teams the rainbow of shirt becomes distracting. Unity really helps students to make the quick identification of who is on their team. Thank you for considering our simple but important project. Identifying colors on the playing field are so very important. Especially for the smallest students.
