My Students

I have the pleasure of working with outstanding and eager third grade students. Our school is a Title-1 School with children who are creative and have active minds.

Students come to school not only as a place to learn, but are welcome as part of a school family that embraces each individual child and appreciates their unique qualities.

Our students live in a small, close-knit community in a rural part of our county. When you walk through our halls, you can feel the family atmosphere. The teachers and staff members know our students and their families and it truly is a great school filled with great students who deserve the best educational opportunities.

My Project

Listening to the squeals and Ohhs and ahhs during class when the students are fascinated at their discoveries is a wonderful thing. For most students in my class this is the first time they have participated in a science lab that allows them to dissect anything.

Students learn about the skeletal system in our science class and discover the prey of owls as they go through the owl pellet.

They work together collaboratively to try to figure out what animal the owl ate and regurgitated into this pellet. Also they attempt to put the skeletal back together and glue it as a true diagram of the skeleton.
