I was asked to describe what I love about my students...what the question should have been is what's not to love about them. But, I would say above all that I love that my students can make me laugh more than anything else. From the crazy things they say to the inexplicable things they sometimes do...they are the best part of my work day.
Each year our fourth grade students complete a wax museum project. Students begin the research project by reading about an important historical figure and writing a biography report on that person. In addition, students design and create a 3-panel display board about their historical figure. As a culminating activity, students become the characters they research, dressing like Abraham Lincoln or Annie Oakley.
By donating to this project, you will give students access to books with a wealth of information that help them complete their research projects.
Students have the opportunity to learn about our past, at the same time increasing their fluency and passion for reading!
