My Project

Currently my class is reading "Gifted hands: A life story of Ben Carson." Students are vey excited with his life. My class is thriving on anthropology books. "Who Was" book series will continue our anthropology unit to highlights the life, contributions and accomplishments of the individual and inspires students to find their unique way to contribute to society. Students will increase their awareness of their world and recognize ways they too can inspire others to live a life of courage. Students will listen and apply courage from ladies in Afghanistan as well as civil rights here in America with "Hidden Figures."

Students will listen to read aloud books and respond with primary notebook paper and poster board.

Students will use primary paper to reflect on life lessons and relate the books to themselves. Poster board will be used to create a timeline and reflection over these books. With your generosity students will have insight on the world around them, courage to change their world in their unique way, and time to reflect on what their own personal journey.
