Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students love to learn about the past, but sometimes it is not presented in the most entertaining way. By having a class set of "Who Was" books, students will be able to engage with the past in a way that is meaningful. Beyond relating to each person, students will be able to practice their independent reading skills, fluency, research, and comprehension.

Each book will be an opportunity for students to become better readers and learners.

"Who Was?' books also lend themselves greatly to research projects. Students will have access to reliable information that is age appropriate and also entertaining. Who would want to see a class full of readers and learners? My class this year is eager to learn new information and they rise to the challenge when they are motivated! This will be a great way for them to want to learn and have fun!
