My Project
Over the past few years, I have worked hard to create a library where my students feel safe and welcome. One of my main goals is to provide my students with a diverse library collection because I truly believe that all of my students are special, and they all deserve to come in and see a book collection that represents them and the world around them.
Books can take you away to magical places or off to whole new worlds that you wouldn't get to experience otherwise.
This project will help provide our library with a more diverse collection, including books with minority main characters, books about myths and legends across the world, adventure manga books, and some interesting non-fiction about fascinating plants and animals. It will also provide us with a puzzle board. I have a few students that love working on puzzles but it is hard to make sure their work isn't lost when classes change. This board will give us a place where we can store and move the puzzle around as needed. I know that they are going to love this new addition to our makerspace!
