My Students

I have the most loving group of Kinders this year! I have 12 curious little boys and 9 creative little girls. They love to write stories, read to each other, and work word problems like nobody’s business! I seriously think I have some future authors, educators, and engineers!

This year we have been working on keeping all of their amazing ideas organized so nothing gets lost.

We are a diverse group from different countries, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds-located in a rural area of Pfaffown, NC. My students have really gotten close with each other and embraced the concept of family within our classroom.

My Project

Unfortunately, the hand-me-down denim chair pockets I received from a friend 5 years ago, have become ratty and are hanging on by a thread WITH added Duct Tape! We have been working hard all year to stay organized and know where our assignments are.

If my children have new-sturdy pockets to store their individual work and resources in, they won't lose their items or get them mixed up with their peers.

Typically we store our work folders, writing folders, letter/number booklets, expo boards, and resource file folder (contains a list of our sight words, letters, and sounds), and book baggies in our chair pockets. Obviously, we have a ton to keep up with, so when one falls apart, we have to start stacking their things on an easily accessible cabinet or shelf. Some times those things can get knocked off or misplaced.

I definitely want to try and remedy this situation for my kiddos!
