My Project

Think about it. When you were in high school, did you know exactly what you wanted to do? For most of us, the answer is no. Life isn't always a straight path, and we often discover our passions along the way. As an educator, my goal is to support my students in being prepared for whatever post-secondary path they choose, whether that’s community college, trade school, or a university.

No matter the path, there are specific skills that every student needs to succeed.

The goal of this project is to increase literacy by providing an anchor text that we will read and discuss together as a class. This reading will also support students in writing their "Laws of Life" paper, a reflective exercise that helps them think deeply about their values and goals.

My students are special because they bring such broad and diverse interests to the classroom. Whether they aspire to become doctors, engineers, teachers, or politicians, they all, at some point, will need to reflect and start with self. Your support will help them on this journey of self-discovery and preparation for their futures.
