My Students
My children are disadvantaged and were horribly affected by Hurricane Harvey. They lost everything. Some of them are still living in hotels. They started school with no supplies and our classrooms were damaged Not only did they lose everything so did our school. I just want to bring a little stability in their lives.
We are in need of Technology.
Our computers were already old, now they are no longer working. We are currently trying to rebuild and get back to normalcy.
My Project
My students want to be successful, and to be successful they need to be exposed to the technology world. Most of my students do not have any type of technology in their homes. This is why it is so important for me to give them every opportunity I can when they walk into my classroom. A computer is the gateway to the world. Providing my students with visual and audio information is something that will enhance their lives.
Computers in my class bring real world situations into the room.
In a few clicks, my students can find information for their research projects and learn interesting facts that will take them to higher levels of learning. Reading books and novels through e-books, playing educational games will become a reality.
Providing these tablets for my class will improve my student's individualized education and they can become the true Whiz Kids I know they are capable of becoming in a technological world
