This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking your support to help me provide my students with a class set of whiteboards to scaffold division and reinforce place value concepts for whole numbers and decimals.

I need to provide my students with the necessary tools to become successful in math.

The whiteboards will provide daily math skill building activities to help my students improve in the math domain of number operations. Long division is a difficult concept for students to understand. The difficulty arises when it comes to lining up the numbers. These whiteboards have lines built into them that students should not make placement errors. The place value whiteboards will help students with decimals and whole numbers. Often times, students mix the values. This will help students visually see and line the digits in the correct place value.
