All the students at my school deserve the best! We have some really amazing, dynamic third graders. We do not know which students are in our class. We know some of them are identified as English language learners. In addition, several students have reclassified and tested out of being considered English language learners. Our students have a ton of personality. This group of students are incredible and deserve the best learning opportunities.
We work at a Title I school in Los Angeles.
That means a large portion of our population qualifies for free or reduced-priced lunch because of their socio-economic status. We are an environmental studies school.
My Project
Our third graders need to explain their thinking from home. Having whiteboards, not only helps our environment, but is a quick and easy way for checking their understanding.
Being able to explain and show their thinking will help us correct any misgivings they may have.
Using whiteboards makes this task easier for other students to elaborate on each other's thinking. This will also develop and deepen their comprehension of what they are learning. Students need to learn from each other and whiteboards will help them master the standards. Thank you.
