The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.
The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.
They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.
My Project
Previously, I had a DonorsChoose funded for student whiteboards and it has been such a success to have the ability for my students to communicate their thoughts quickly and with ease has made a big difference with their success.
Teachers in other STEM classes at LHS been using these student whiteboards in their classes and have seen how big of a difference the student whiteboards can make in a classroom and they want to be able to have a set to share too!
Having whiteboards and markers to draw or show student work can help effectively and efficiently communicate ideas to teammates. These have become so valuable in our classes, we need more to effectively share between our classrooms.
