My Students
Nearly all my students are from low‑income households. My students deserve to use equipment that they would otherwise never have the opportunity to use. I teach both regular education PE/Wellness and Life Skills PE classes.
There are several needs for each student, and providing the best equipment will allow them to look forward to PE class and have even more motivation and determination for leading a healthy life.
My Project
My goal has been to give students the means, ideas, examples, and choices of how they want to stay active; while covering vital fitness aspects and standards for each class. In order to achieve this, the proper accommodations, modifications, and choices must be present each day.
These whiteboards will be used for having every accommodation, choice, and modification written down for students to refer to at any time during class.
This, along with writing vital information and reminders to foster a safe learning environment will be key to PE class success.
This will help me reach each student in a way that suits them best for their lifelong fitness journeys!
