Help me give my students a great quality magnetic whiteboard to use with our Hover Cam, that is easy to see and interact with, as we use it in all of our lessons throughout the day.
My amazing second grade classroom includes 19 of the hardest working students I have ever had. We are a Title I school, and our classroom is a co-taught classroom, which has learners with a variety of strengths and needs.
I have such an eager, hard-working, diverse group of learners this year, and they all thrive with the use of technology.
Using interactive tools I can differentiate learning for each of my learners, and make their learning more meaningful and challenging.
I am hoping to do as much as I can to help my students become independent learners, and learn to explore the exciting world of technology.
My Project
Right now we have an old Home Depot white board that my husband made for my classroom years ago. It doesn't erase well, and is not magnetic. With the new math curriculum, and the amount of time we use the whiteboard as a screen each day, my students need a clean, white screen as the main focus in front of the room.
We spend the majority of our day using the whiteboard, whether it's interactive math lessons, working on assignments as a whole class, viewing videos, taking movement breaks, or following our station rotation schedules.
Our current whiteboard is flimsy, falling off the wall, hard to erase, and poor quality. My students deserve a higher quality whiteboard where they can use magnetic materials during lessons, and interact with what is projected on the screen throughout the day. We have students with many different needs in our class, and this visual display is essential in helping them follow along during lessons, participate, and provides a visual reminder of classroom expectations.
