Whiteboards and graph notebooks: The First Step to Math Learning
My students need white boards to reference past learning and also to show their work to the class so they can learn from each other.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Maldonado's classroom raised $1,101

My Students
My students are eager for learning and curious about the world. They challenge themselves, each other, and their teachers to grow and as individuals and as a community.
As strong mathematicians, they question, struggle, collaborate, and learn from their mistakes to further their love for mathematics.
They are beginning to see that math is a beautiful art that takes patience, love, and determination.
At our school, we have a mini-middle school model that has students rotating between three main teachers: Literacy, Science, and Math.
My Project
We do a lot of thinking in math. We write ideas down, we make mistakes, and we revise our thinking. This requires students to learn from each other and be able to see how others are thinking about solving a problem. My current classroom only has one chalk board.
These white boards will not only brighten up the classroom, it will allow for all students to see the math we are learning and reference the thinking their classmates and myself are sharing with them.
The graphing notebooks will help students with organization and clarity. They will keep their thinking organized and neat.
