My Students

The students in my class are hard working, attentive learners. They are developing and cultivating their growth mindset and working hard to recognize their learning shortcomings and turn them into strengths. My students are witty, fun, caring, and eager learners.

The students in my class are so excited about learning, and sharing their learning with their peers that it feels like a gift to be their teacher.

I want to help them continue to thrive and help each other make progress this school year!

My Project

I have learned that my students do better with their academic explanations if they are allowed to write on flat, open spaces. For the most part, students use whiteboard markers and do their work on their desks, as opposed to paper and pencil. They are able to see their work, use different colors to differentiate, and have a wider space to explain their thinking to others.

Each day students work in small groups with the teacher to reinforce the material learned in class.

This whiteboard table allows for more efficient use of our space, more visibility as they explain their thinking, more room to work as they process through a problem. They are easy to maintain and cut down significantly on the scrap paper used in my room.
