My Students

My students are full of personality and spunk. These fifth graders are fantastic human beings. The school in which I work is in Garden City, which is a suburb of Detroit. The kids here work so hard and I just want what's best for them. It's a Title I school where 100% of the population receives free breakfast and lunch.

These students deserve the absolute world.

My students are phenomenal! They have such a love and passion for learning and I cannot wait to share that excitement with them. I want them to be successful in my classroom but in the real world as well.

My Project

Students love being able to express themselves on different writing media. We are currently lacking a major writing material that would make our classroom that more enriched: whiteboards.

These whiteboards would allow students to have another way to show what they know.

By giving them the opportunity to write using a different type of utensil and then on a different sheet of "paper" would be amazing.

Not only would this benefit the students, it would benefit me as their teacher. The use of whiteboards in the classroom is extremely valuable. I am able to do quick checks to see if they understand what we are doing in class. I really hope that these whiteboards will bring joy to my students!
