My students need the opportunity to interact with the classroom whiteboard through the use of the Ipevo pen and camera.

My Students
My students are preschool students who come from diverse backgrounds. I teach two sessions of preschool. Each session is a mix of of typically developing students and those with special needs. We also teach children with English as a second language. Each child comes to me with varying experiences. They need to be motivated and challenged every day. We are a high poverty district in which 78% of the students in the township qualify for free and reduced lunch. I believe all children have potential and can participate in all activities.
My Project
The addition of an Ipevo and camera to our classroom will allow the children to interact with the whiteboard. Currently, when they are interacting with the board they are pointing or touching the board but the teacher is the one in control of the mouse. The board is used daily for different learning opportunities including counting, letter searching, song choice, and many other opportunities.
The Ipevo will give the children the control.
The children enjoy writing their name on the whiteboard with the dry erase markers, the Ipevo will give the children an additional media to write their names. It will also help with developing correct hand grasp because they will hold just like a pencil when writing their name.
