My Project
I have taught students Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus for 9 years and I am constantly seeking ways to better support student learning. Recently, I have had some success with whiteboard activities where students complete a problem on a whiteboard with their group and share it with the rest of the class. This is extremely valuable for students because they have to complete higher stakes work and explain it to their peers. Furthermore, it allows students the opportunity to move around the classroom to stay active.
However, currently I only have small portable 8 X 11 inch white boards which do not allow students the space to finish a problem to show to the class nor the ability to get up and move around the room.
There is no funding to provide these whiteboards that I need to provide these activities. I need this resource to structure activities for my students that allow for better engagement in class.
