My Project
Help me give my students the cooking utensils and supplies they need to build confidence, learn essential life skills, and experience the joy of creating meals from scratch. In our Family and Consumer Sciences classroom, students explore real-world skills that go far beyond the textbook. With access to hands-on tools like measuring cups, mixing bowls, cutting boards, and skillets, they can practice proper cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and meal preparation in a fun, supportive environment. These tools allow every student to be involved, regardless of background or experience, and they help foster independence, creativity, and collaboration.
These supplies are not just items—they are stepping stones to lifelong skills.
Many of my students may not have opportunities at home to cook or access basic kitchen tools. By providing them with the right utensils, we create an equitable learning space where they can thrive, discover talents, and develop habits that promote health and self-sufficiency.
