Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Walking into a Kindergarten classroom you should see students talking amongst each other, learning through hands on activities and playing. Kindergarten is a child's first real experience in school. The items I have chosen will help make a difference in each of my students life by helping students communicate and socialize with each other through play and hands on learning.

The goals of my project are to help kindergarten students build their communication and social skills.

I do believe technology is great but the past 5 years I have seen a huge difference in 5 year olds communicating and socializing with peers their age. They are no longer coming up with imaginative play nor are they able to parallel play with one another.

I want to create a classroom where all of my students love to come everyday. I want them to be able to create memories with their friends through educational and imaginative play.
