My Students

I have eighteen sweet sweet kindergartners this year. This is my first full year teaching, and I have absolutely fallen in love with each of them!

Unfortunately, as you know, this year looks insanely different from what kindergarten normally looks like.

There have been no field trips, and field trips has always been a huge part of kindergarten. My 5- and 6-year-olds wear a mask all day every day, there are massive dividers between them, and everything that wasn’t a hard surface had to be removed from the classroom. This means a lot of my alternative seating had to be removed.

I would love to fill my classroom with alternative seating they can use even during this trying time! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for any donation you see fit to provide!

My Project

We are still teaching in person, but all classroom furniture had to removed if it wasn’t a hard surface for cleaning! Now, my classroom doesn’t have any options for flexible seating so my students are stuck sitting in their chair all day every day.

We can’t have rugs, so I would love to give them an option to change up their seating during the day!

I know they will be excited as well! I have some students who physically can’t stay in their seat all day, and they really struggle paying attention. This new flexible seating would give them the option to mix it up and help them get what they need!
