My Students
My students are talented and creative in their unique ways. As an educator for English Language Learners, I am aware of the concrete and hands-on materials that the children rely on to learn. Not only do my students attend a Title I school they also are on the spectrum, where sitting behind a computer to learn is not in their best practice. My students were used to the puzzles, arts, technology, and in-classroom resources to learn day to day life skills. Sadly, many of my kids are left to find a way to learn on their own.
My Project
As an English Language teacher for district 75, my job is to provide every child with the ability to access the education provided to them. Using hands-on materials and concrete objects was the best approach for my students. Families are faced with the hardship of being a mom and a teacher. Without these materials, our children are limited to their daily tasks. Parents are feeling helpless despite constant outreach. With these materials, students will be able to fully engage with distant learning tasks assigned to them. Thank you
