Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my school are smart and willing to learn. The area they live in has had some hard times and the parents work two to three jobs to survive in today's society. Their children need the guidance from teachers and use the technology around them to survive.
There is an overwhelming population of Spanish speaking students that are eager to learn English and Social Studies at the same time.
First thing in the morning, my students eat breakfast in the classroom and we prepare for the day. Then students travel to different classrooms and learn.
My Project
Homework! Most students have new supplies with their phone pencil box, crayons, pencils, markers, erasers, and glue but not my students. Having a pencil and crowns is a daily struggle for my students. They cannot afford to come to class with pencils crayons markers glue erasers due to the fact that their parents have many bills and living expenses. If you would give my class a blessing for these children to have the proper materials to be able to do their homework it would be such an amazing gift. Just think you would be able to send home a child with their own pencil box, crayons, markers, and an eraser. They would be more than amazed and super excited to have these materials.
