My Project

I teach a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade special education self contained learning unit in Utah. Some of my students are diagnosed with autism, intellectual/behavioral challenges.

My students are funny, brave, curious, and in need of more curriculum options than I can afford to give them.

I loop with my students so I have them in my classroom for 3 years. I need a lot of activities and lesson plans to make each year unique and valuable.

I strive to help my students learn emotional regulation, social skills, and their ABCs and 123s! Our classroom needs are numerous and diverse. Our school has a 60% free and reduced lunch rate and breakfast is also served. Please help me nurture my student's strengths and different abilities. All children matter and deserve the opportunity to make a difference in their own lives, families, and school communities.

In my self contained special education classroom, I teach three grade levels and each grade level has its own state standards and objectives. I am responsible for teaching state standards in math, history, reading, and supervised studies (social/emotional learning).

The legislative money I receive does not cover my diverse curriculum needs as they are immense.
