Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am so excited to start working in a new Pre-K classroom. With the new classroom comes a new door for me to greet and dismiss my students. After looking at the new door, the main entrance to the school building, I am looking for ways to make this space more student-friendly.
I am requesting benches for my students to sit on at arrival and dismissal time.
When the door opens, students are eager to run out because there is no current environmental support to encourage sitting and waiting. I do not want to encourage students to sit on the floor in this space, which experiences a lot of foot traffic.
These benches will provide my students with designated seats to wait for their bus aides and caregivers comfortably.
