My students need Social Studies books and materials to learn more about the world around them.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Nelson's classroom raised $290
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The best way for students to lead the future is to help them understand both the present and the past.
I teach second grade to a group of highly motivated and bright students.
They live in a community where most families walk to get from place to place and therefore the students don't have an opportunity to see much more than the neighborhood around them. My students are fascinated by all types of non-fiction material. I'd love to provide them with additional Social Studies material because they are very curious and eager to know more about the world around them.
My Project
These Social Studies books and materials would introduce the students to important people, places and events. Students would be able to understand the lives of important people throughout history by reading their biographies. In addition, the resources would help students understand the importance of famous American symbols and landmarks as well as learn about different cultures around the world.
