Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a 5th grade teacher in a Dual Language classroom. My school is located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. My students learn all subjects in English and Spanish.
We recently started our geography unit of study in social studies. My students are not very familiar with national/international current events.
The Time for Kids magazine will enable my students to read about other parts of the world. This magazine will have them searching for the country where they read a news story from. My students will read maps, political cartoons, graphs, captions, and see photographs.
It is essential for all of my students to read and care about what is happening around the world. They must all be conscious of the real events that are affecting their world.
My students will appreciate your contribution to their future. They are the future of our world.

TIME For Kids Magazine- World Report Edition w/ TFK Around the World (grades 4-6). Pricing is valid for orders placed after March 2007. After August 15th of current school year, pricing will remain in effect but TIME For Kids reserves the right to prorate issue quantity and free gifts. Only valid for orders in quantities of 10 or more. Orders for less than 10 subscriptions will NOT be fulfilled.
