My Students

My American History/Geography classes are filled with multiple opportunities to explore both our country's rich history, as well as the amazing world abroad. Students will spend this year exploring our past, where we come from and where we can travel throughout the world.

My students are as diverse and creative as the world around us.

They are excited to learn about how our country's past affects both today and the future. They also are investigating how cultures and geography can change and influence people around the world. They are opening their minds to the vast opportunities travel can provide. I am hopeful they will be inspired to expand their knowledge of the past, present and future in their world.

My Project

These iPads will give my students the opportunity to explore the world, current events, economy, and history of countries like our textbooks can't. They can see and experience the cultures, people, music, and sites that aren't available in any book. We can use real time videos, new apps, and maps to get a realistic view of what the countries of the world are like this very moment. We can use the technology to compare and contrast current information that is both accurate and informative between different nations on different continents. The students can get an up-to-date view of what life is like around our world.
