My students need flexible seating options such as portable lap desks, wobble stools and different seating options to help active bodies concentrate in our classroom. Many of these options will help the students have a choice.
Our classroom is made up of 21 wonderful second graders! We love to learn and have fun while doing it! Our school is located in Marietta, Georgia and is a title 1 school. 100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. My students come from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds; but we all have one goal in mind, we are at school to learn and be leaders. Our classroom thrives on the 7 habits of great leaders and making goals for our learning. I encourage hands on learning and discovery. Our classroom is full of diverse learners, each student receives differentiated instruction based on their own individualized needs.

We are excited to come to school everyday and set our learning goals. We work hard to achieve our goals that the students and I set together! We make every moment count at school to encourage the great leaders of tomorrow.
My Project
These materials will make a difference with many of my students who are very active learners. The wobble stools will be used at our desk that the school provides and able to move around the room. The lap desk will help when students chose to work around the room or in a scoop chair. Students learn best when they feel comfortable. In our classroom we concentrate on learning environment individualized for each student's needs.
I would like to give each student in my classroom, gifted to below 2nd grade level, the best chance at reaching their learning goals.
Being able to move while they concentrate will help many of my students succeed in second grade. I know my students can not wait to receive these donations to assistant in their learning environment.
