Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a beautiful new library space, and our students love to visit the library. Our library has no signage, thoug, to help students navigate and find things in the library. We need to create signage to help students know what kinds of books they will find in each area of the library and how books are organized on the shelves.

Knowing how to navigate a library is a life skill, and we want our students to be self-sufficient and savvy library patrons.

In order to do this, they need to be able to have clear labels and signage to help them. This includes sign holders, shelf labels, ABC markers, and directional signage. These items were not build into the budget of building our beautiful new library space, but they are necessary tools for our students to be successful in finding things in our library.

Help us avoid the question, "Where would I find it?" in our library!

Mrs. Johns, District Elementary Library Specialist will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 7.
