My students need 56 books to read in the classroom, such as "Goosebumps," "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," and award winners like "Because of Winn-Dixie" and "Charlotte's Web."
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Fantastic fourth grade students are in need of some extra support through your great donations!
I teach a wonderful bunch of 4th grade students in an inner city. My students come from a struggling neighborhood in which poverty is very high and the students often live with their extended family members. There are high levels of violence in the neighborhoods, and these children see the school as a safe haven to learn and interact with others.
Our school tries very hard to ensure that the students have everything they need and the support necessary to overcome the struggles that they face. However, we cannot provide everything. The support you provide, by donating to the projects, will help these students overcome their challenges and reach their goals!
The books that I am requesting will be added to the classroom library. These books will be available for the students to read in class and take home at night to read, as many of the students do not have any books at home. The books I have selected, including "Goosebumps," "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," and award winners like "Because of Winn-Dixie" and "Charlotte's Web," are books that the students are interested in and would help to foster a love of reading!
