Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 3rd grade students are bright and curious learners. They are inquisitive, energetic and have a deep love for learning. I teach in a diverse ICT classroom with an exciting mix of interests, needs and abilities. Our school is a Title I school meaning that we have a high concentration of students living below the poverty line. Many of my students live in temporary housing and the classroom is a safe haven from their daily stress. Please consider donating to this wonderful group of children!
My Project
Providing access to books on their reading level will promote literacy growth. Many of the books in our classroom are falling apart, tattered and older prints that fail to capture todays youth. The bins that they are stored in are cracked and warped from years of use. In order to foster excitement, we need books that will really captivate the students and a library that looks and feels inviting! The children get a sense of pride and are overcome with joy when their work gets hung! Our classroom can use a new bulletin board.
Thank you for taking the time to read our project!
