Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach special education students with very diverse abilities, in a Title I grade school. They require resources that help them develop skills in their unique ways.

It is my goal to expose all students to as many different learning strategies as possible, so they can decide what will help them become the best they can be.

With your help, we can acquire a variety of tools which will provide my students with enriching opportunities that can help them develop the skills and confidence that are required to meet their dreams and become successful adults.

My Project

The 2 Dash Sensations Blue Bean Bag chairs will give my sensory seeking students a place to calm their bodies. The deep pressure provided by these chairs has been shown to help students regulate their emotions.

I like to provide a variety of tools for my students to explore so they can learn what their body needs to be calm.

Learning how to regulate their emotions at an early age keeps them from falling behind in their academics and allows them to be life long learners.

I believe all students can be successful when they are given the correct tools.
