Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am currently a teacher in the Bronx, NY with students who have a variety of emotional and intellectual disabilities. I would love for my students to have the same academic experience as students who have more accessibility to information and technology than them. They are a great bunch of kids with motivation unlike any I have ever seen. They wish to strive and achieve all of their goals set for this year.
My Project
My classroom currently does not have any working computers and would love to have a technology center to make information more accessible for my students.To continue to push students to use more technology, both at school and remotely, this puts them at a disadvantage. The iPad Air and keyboard will be part of a growing technology center for my students to access information for research and reading activities. Students can engage in information sharing when doing research of different authors and areas of interest or fun activities such as information scavenger hunts. I wish to continue to grow this technology center one piece at a time to give my students every possible advantage to achieve success.
