When My Students Ask for More Books Like…

Help me give my students My students are constantly asking for more books! The young adult book market is flushed each year with newcomers! And my students want the newness! Surrounding them with books is my passion.

My Project

With the books my 13 year olds crave, they will continue to evolve their reading histories. My hope is to have a classroom full of independent readers who can self-select texts, talk about texts, and share a meaningful take away from their books. Readers can say to their peers, “Hey, you have to read this next because…” And those words can become creative book projects like WeVideo book trailers or Book Buzz Presentations or Character Instagrams. I want to encourage my students to lead readerly lives forevermore and to be passionate about their reads!
