This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello. I am asking for some items to help my preschool students have a safe learning environment. When students are seated in cube chairs, trays help them feel secure and ready to learn. The tray also becomes a great work surface for students to safely manipulate materials. The cube chairs are the appropriate size for small children and help keep the students secure. The trays add that extra layer of protection.

I need to provide a safe environment for my students to explore.

I have students who have seizures and/or gross motor walking difficulties. By putting padding on corners of bookshelves and along sharp edges will ensure if they stumble and fall, they do not get hurt which will help them feel safe and secure.

The picture frame magnets are for posting pictures of students in the room to ensure all the adults in the room know the students and, at a glance, can see who should be in the room for safety reasons. This also helps students get to recognize their friends and feel more safe and secure with familiar people. All the items I am requesting will help my students feel safe which then will help them learn because they will not need to worry.
