My Students

Teaching students includes so many things. Stable environment, security, motivation, and a routine students understand. My students are cute 10 to 11 year olds that are interested and want to be engaged in the world around them. They spend a lot of the time on their video games because that is what they know and hear about. They are fast learners and very curious.

My students absorb information around them.

They like to know what to expect and how they are doing. We know students learn and process information differently. Visual instruction and direction can be helpful to help them feel secure, to help them become independent in answering questions about what is happening.

My Project

We are requesting a bright, engaging 40" monitor mounted to my wall that can show directions, class points, digital clocks, timers, and positive encouragement from me.

All during the day there are many times I am teaching small groups of students so I cannot answer all the questions that are asked.

Students want to know if they have enough time to start on another task before we switch subjects. Students are motivated by class points and want to know when they gain points or who is winning. Students need clarification or repetition of instructions or directions.

I only have one white board and it is covered with the projector so to have another engaging visual aid in the room would be useful. Students would feel more secure in their routines and do a better job of making their own decisions about prioritizing.
