Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Field Day, when you are in elementary school is the best day of the year! Students get to spend the day playing at the park against their peers. When you live in the inner city, this is a rare treat.

My students need t-shirts for field day; this will help them feel like a team!

Parents at this school cannot afford the cost associated with purchasing Field Day T-Shirts. My little ones usually just end up wearing their school uniform on this special day. These uniforms are uncomfortable for playing in. When all the children are wearing the same t-shirt, they feel connected and special. They feel like part of a team.

These t-shirts will also help them to locate their teammates, when they are out competing against the other classes.
