Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this project, we would like to purchase a class set of glockenspiels for our students! These instruments come with a case and mallets which will keep them safe, and having a class set will help with classroom management, evaluating students, and getting more instruments into the hands of our mighty musicians!

These glockenspiels in particular would be an excellent resource for our learners because of the multiple visuals for the students.

Each bar is a different color AND labeled with the pitch. We have so many English Language Learners at our school who would greatly benefit from not only seeing the letters of the pitch names, but also being able to use the colors to differentiate the notes and understand where they should be striking the instruments.
