What's the Buzz? I teach 4th grade in SC at a school that is in a semi-rural area. The students are often limited to seeing the world within about a 5 mile radius of the school

"What's the Buzz?" is a project that will be used to integrate writing into the other areas of curriculum. For example, as we study plants and animals, we will go on campus walks where students will take pictures of the plants or animals that most interest them. The pictures will then be displayed and the children will write about them.

I feel that by using the digital camera, the children will have more ownership in their writing. Writing will be connected to their own interests as related to the study.

By funding "What's the Buzz?," you will help empower these students to not only write about the world around them, but also experience it in a more hands-on way. Thank you for considering to be a part of "The Buzz".
