My Project
What's Tea is an initiative I will start for the 2024-2025 school year centered around meaningful conversations between mothers and daughters. Too often I hear my students say that they don’t feel like they can talk to their moms. I’ve also had instances where I share information with moms that their daughters have shared with me, and they say they had no idea. What I’ve learned is that it isn’t due to a lack of conversation, mothers and daughters are talking. It’s that they aren’t having meaningful conversations.
It's important to teach moms how to have meaningful conversations with their daughters and get them to spill the “tea” on what’s happening in their lives.
This mother-daughter tea will be a chance for moms to try to bond with their daughters over tea and treats. The items in the project will be used to create a wonderful experience with cute decor.
