My Project

Nothing brings people together better than food. It's amazing how food has played a huge role in gatherings, conversations, and celebrations. Why not supply my students with the utensils and area needed to prepare and warm their preferred cuisine while chatting with their peers?

Students will be able to dive into the world of flavor by keeping an open mind and being willing to try new foods.

Stepping outside their comfort zone and embracing the exploration of taste through the diversity of foods found around them. They will get exposure to different cultures and foods which will expand their food palate. Sharing meals and recipes has always connected people from around the world.

Many of my students prefer to bring their own lunch due to dietary restrictions like allergies or religious observances. The issue they face is their food options are limited because of the lack of a fridge or microwave.

My goal is to create a space where my students can warm and prepare their home lunches. The countless times I'm asked if I have a fridge or microwave is unbelievable. As a School Counselor, I feel that it's important to support my students in every aspect of their school day including their nutrition.
