My Project
I am a second year special education teacher. I currently teach 120 high school age students and have 15 additional students on my caseload. In addition, more than half of my students are dual language learners and come from low income housing.
This year I am teaching a course called Employment Training.
This course helps seniors that have decided to not enroll in college with necessary content that will help them be successful in the real world. They are taught how to channel their personal interests into a job that they will enjoy and make a living off of.
The book I would want each of my students to have is, "The Savvy Job-Hopper's Guide to Choosing a Career." This fun and functional consumer guide will help identify the best path for my students. By reviewing apples-to-apples breakdowns of ninety-nine career choices, my students will use proven techniques of comparison shopping to base their decision on things that really matter, like if there's opportunity for growth or flexible hours.
This book is the ultimate career planning & job hunting handbook for serious and casual job-hoppers. Career choices and changes are scary—and looking for a job will be much happier this handy guide on hand!
