This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have behavior issues & use the large bean bag chairs to calm down and refocus in our Quiet Area. The bags help them regulate their emotions thru sensory tactics.
Prizes are used as motivation for my students to stay "green" throughout the week and they earn prizes and time in the general education classroom.
Prizes are earned when they make good choices and use their strategies.
My goals for this project is to support my students in regulating their emotions so their behaviors will not impede their learning.
