As a teacher, in a small rural area, my students face challenges of meeting the same expectations as students from larger and more financially stable schools. My students work harder than most. They give their all on everything. They truly want to make a difference in this world. However, before they can accomplish their dreams, they first have to acquire a higher quality education. Time and education is ever changing. Technology has become an abundant part of our lives. Therefore, without enough technology in the classroom, we are doing a disservice to my students. My students are being held back from dreams, simply because of the lack of funds for a technology lead classroom.
My Project
Currently there are 200 students sharing 24 Chromebooks. There are often times when students cannot complete assignments or projects due to not having access to their Chromebook. This is doing my students a disservice. Education is ever changing and technology has became a large part of it, therefore my students are not receiving the most efficient and updated education as they should be. Having 3 more Dell Chromebooks will allow my students to succeed in school, have an engaging learning experience, and have the ability to incorporate technology into the classroom. My students deserve the best educational experience and with your help, this can be obtained.
