It is my personal belief that 5th graders are the coolest kids on the planet. They are funny, fun, and are still sponges ready and willing to soak up new information. This is the perfect age to help them zero in on their personal interests, and identify their strengths and challenges.
With the right ingredients, 5th grade can be a critical year for student success as they prepare for the next step to middle school.
Students work hard to close up any existing gaps in their understanding, as well as add new knowledge to their ever-growing brains.
It is essential that students have basic materials to make the most of their 5th grade year. Right now, purchasing school supplies is a burden for many families. By supplying basic materials such as dry-erase markers for individual whiteboards, glue, folders, pencils and pencil holders (toothbrush cases) as well as general classroom materials, we can take help make the load a little lighter. Additionally, the general classroom items, such as the pencil sharpener and headphones (for those who have forgotten or lost their earbuds) helps ALL students work towards meeting their goals. Your donation will fund these materials for an entire grade level, not just my classroom. Your awesomeness impacts DOUBLE the students!
