Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

For this project, I am requesting several board games for my ELA classroom that will engage the students academically and socially. These board games will help the students practice their vocabulary skills, inference skills, and collaboration skills in a fun, exciting way. Learning in my classroom has to expand outside of just pencil and paper and sitting at a desk. When students have completed their regular work in class, these games will be a great addition to the classroom because the students will be able to visit the gaming station in the room and have some fun with their peers.

Learning in my classroom has to go beyond just using pencil and paper and sitting at a desk, so why not incorporate some fun board games where students still utilize their reading skills but in an engaging way?

In my classroom, I want to always make sure that students are having fun and still learning at the same time from the first bell to the last bell. These board games would be a great addition to the classroom having more engaging activities.

My students are some of the most amazing students, and they deserve the world. I want to make learning fun and engaging for them so that they enjoy coming to my class each and every day!!
