Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m not talking real pets, I’m talking desk pets! I strongly believe in positive reinforcement for classroom management and think desk pets really helped my class last year.

Desk pets are simple.

Students are able to adopt a pet eraser at the beginning of the year. Throughout the week students earn points for showing positive behavior. These behaviors include things like helping a friend, taking risks and the list goes on. Once a week, students are given the opportunity to cash in those points for food or friends for their pets!

By contributing to this project, you will allow me to offer my students animal erasers that they can adopt and many different types of erasers they can spend their points on! Students can spend their points on other mini erasers for their pets, from mini fruit and vegetable erasers to other animals and so much more! Students will be able to house their animal erasers in plastic jars on their desk. I would love to offer my students a wide variety of erasers that I can change out throughout the year to keep them engaged! Being able to offer my students the opportunity to adopt and spend their points on new and exciting erasers will greatly impact our classroom!
