My Students

I teach in a 2nd grade Title I school in Franklin, Tn. Fifty percent of our students come from low income families and receive free or reduced lunch. Many students come from Spanish speaking homes and are English language learners.

My group of Second graders is hard working, enthusiastic, and love a challenge.

I can help increase their love of learning by introducing coding skills to our current technology. Coding will provide an innovative way to increase both their problem solving and computational skills.

My Project

This project will give us 6 rechargeable Bee-bots and a charging dock station. The group starter pack will include floor mats to help with coding activities in literacy, geography, math and more.

There is a big push for coding in schools and the Bee-bot will be a great way to introduce coding in the classroom.

By introducing coding with Bee-bots you are teaching problem solving, planning and sequencing. Using these in small groups will increase learning together. These Bee-bots will make a difference in their passion for engineering, robotics, and computer coding. Thank you in advance for helping these students grow!
